Recolorado

“Recolorado” is a series of creations mixing photo and drawing, that I started after a personal experience of consciousness expansion. It was in may 2014, when I took the psychotropic mushrooms used by the Mazatec shamans in the small mountain town of Huautla de Jimenez, state of Oaxaca, in Mexico. The idea behind “Recolorado” is to reexplore the photos by complementing them with colorful hand drawing, to bring them this sense of augmented reality that is felt under the effect of so-called “magic mushrooms”.
